Clique Kits June Pep Rally

Good Morning and welcome to the Clique Kits June Pep Rally!! You should be coming from the "other" Janet's blog...lol but if you just happened to stumble upon this blog share I will post a list of all the people participating today at the end of this post so you can be truly inspired.

The other exciting thing is the reveal of the July kit!! EEK!!

I used some of the Elle's Studio papers from the 6x6 papers to layer behind my photo along with some of the Fancy Pants corrugated paper

I machine stitched 2 triangles of one of the 12 x 12 papers to opposite corners of my layout.

The exclusive floral paper is so gorgeous!! I fussy cut some of the flowers out and tucked them around my photo. I added wood veneer and a dusting of the sequins. Here is a little close-up.

Here is the full layout.

Enjoy visiting all the blogs listed below. I know that you will be inspired!!

Clique Kits May Pep Rally

Hi there and welcome!  I am joining some of the DT and members of Clique Kits to share some projects that we have created using the May kit  "Northern Lights". It's always fun to see all the different projects created from the same kit.
The beautiful Kit features Fancy Pants Atwell collection and Basic Grey's Urban Luxe collection.

I had a lot of fun creating my layout. I used a BG paper as my background and the strips at the top and bottom are also BG. The green photo mat is Fancy Pants paper.

I used a cut file from Just Nick to anchor my photo and embellishments. The cut file was backed with BG paper and I added messy stitching for some added texture.

The whole design of my layout was based on a sketch from Creative Scrappers.. I'm so glad they are back!!

Here are a couple of closeups.

Here is the list of everyone on the blog share today. Come hop along and check out all the fabulous projects!! Don't forget to comment along the way for your chance in winning a May kit of your very own!

I am also entering my layout in the Take 5 Challenge at Paper Issues.

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #29

Morning everyone!!

Last weekend I was at my home away from home....Memories Manor in Michigan so I had some extra time to create a layout for the latest challenge at Sparkle and Shine Challenge..

For this challenge we are sponsored by the amazing Create A Smile Stamps! The winner of our challenge will receive a $25 gift card to the online store and will be asked to be our Guest Designer for next month.  Very cool...right?

Here is our photo inspiration for today.

I was inspired by the beautiful flowers so made sure that flowers made an appearance onto my layout. Not a problem at all...lol!
The Happy Place collection by Fancy Pants was perfect for this challenge.

For Christmas my youngest son bought my Mom a huge bag of Smarties and I captured this photo of her hanging onto them so nobody else could grab them!! Too funny!

Cardstock: AC

Alphas: AC, 7 Paper
Sequins: PPP

Sparkle and Shine Challenge # 23

Hi there and welcome back to my blog.

It's time for another challenge at Sparkle and Shine Challenge. We have a great inspiration photo for you. I'm not going to share it here. I want you to hop over to the blog and check it out and also all the fabulous creations by the rest of the DT.

This month our challenge is sponsored by the awesome Create A Smile Stamps. A $25 gift card...WOW!!!

I created a layout for this challenge using a photo of my brother and sister-in-law. We always tease both of them that I can NEVER seem to get a decent photo of them!!

I was inspired by the inspiration photo to use the love theme and my "bling" this month is the gorgeous gold foil doily and alphas.

PP, stickers, ribbon tag, doily, ephemera: Crate Paper
Ink, Die: Tim Holtz

Here are a couple of close-ups.

I  hope you get a chance to play along!

The Cut Shoppe

I am so excited to be a Guest Designer for Ashley today on  The Cut Shoppe blog!!!

There are so many fabulous cut files in the store that it was extremely difficult to decide which ones to use on my layout. In the end I chose the chevron tree in this cut file

and the word family from this cut file.

I enlarged the chevron tree and cut it out on the left side of my layout. I then backed each cut out row on the tree with patterned paper. I then added a variety of sequins, rhinestones, glittery enamel dots to decorate my tree. Fun...right?

The word family from Thankful Tidings was perfect to use in my title. It's all about getting together with family at Christmas.

Cardstock: AC
PP: The Paper Studio, Jillibean Soup
Stickers: Jillibean Soup, Bella Blvd, Heidi Swapp
Bling: Prima, MME, Recollections, Paper Studio
Cutfile: The Cut Shoppe
Other: wood veneer, machine stitiching

Here are a couple more close-ups.

Thank you Ashley for this opportunity and for your amazing cut-files!
Please go check out The Cut Shoppe everyone.

I was inspired by the colours and created a layout. Apparently my grandnephew Ryan wouldn't give me a decent smile a few years ago. I just got this cheesey grin...lol!

I was happy to use up some old Teresa Collins product on this layout. My sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh...of course!!! I used the Sparking Clear and the Sweetheart Mix.

Here are a couple of close-ups.

Can I get a whoop whoop??? Yes another page done for my parents calendar!!

I again used a sketch to get me started and it was from DCWV for their stackaholic challenge.
I will also enter this into the challenge at Clique Kits.

Engagement

Boy oh boy life has been busy and I'm starting to freak out that Christmas is around the corner and I AM NOT READY!!!!

Always

I was able to get another layout done for the calendar that I make my parents for Christmas and this one actually features a photo of my parents from this past Mother's Day. I am truly blessed to still have them in my life!

Again I have to hold back on a lot of dimension because they don't want a bulky calendar....lol!!

Anyhow I played along with the sketch at Stuck On You Sketches and this is what I came up with. Sketches are always such a great jumping off point don't you think?

PP: Glitz, A.C., Fancy Pants, Cartabella
Ephemera: Crate

I loved putting all those different patterned papers behind the cut out stars.

@ The Mandarin

My parents always take us all out for supper in June to celebrate my birthday and my daughter's birthday and this year my sister and her husband were able to come also so I snapped this photo of them.

I make a calendar for my parents for Christmas and this layout will be in it. I have to be very careful of not adding too much bulk and dimension since they write all their appointments etc. in this calendar.

I played along with a sketch at Scraptastic but It looks like I'm too late to link up. Boo hoo. :(

PP: Webster's, Crate, Pebbles. O.A.
Stickers: Studio Calico, Simple Stories
Mist: Heidi Swapp
Ink: Memento

Walk A Mile

I almost forgot to put this up on my blog....YIKES!!! While I was away on my scrap weekend I played along with the February sketch at My Creative Sketches.

If you go check the sketch out you will see that I turned it 90 degrees to accommodate my photo and I also added a second photo.

My oldest son Jonathan is always getting involved with charity events which is so wonderful. With his friend Mike they participated in the Walk A Mile in Her Shoes but not only did they put on high heel shoes they totally dressed the part with women's clothes too! Jonathan is the one in the "little black" dress.

Other supplies: American Craft Cardstock, Prima stickers

Edited Aug.3/14 to link up to the challenge at Paper Issues.
