@ The Mandarin

My parents always take us all out for supper in June to celebrate my birthday and my daughter's birthday and this year my sister and her husband were able to come also so I snapped this photo of them.

I make a calendar for my parents for Christmas and this layout will be in it. I have to be very careful of not adding too much bulk and dimension since they write all their appointments etc. in this calendar.

I played along with a sketch at Scraptastic but It looks like I'm too late to link up. Boo hoo. :(

PP: Webster's, Crate, Pebbles. O.A.

Paper Bakery Sketch

The sketch challenge at Paper Bakery is another fabulous one that was created by Juliana.

I was watching my grand-nephews one day in July and decided to take them to the beach in Port Dalhousie. I hadn't been there in along time and was surprised how nice it was.

Crate Plastic Alphas
Paper Bakery flair, sequins, washi tape
Items not from kit:

My 2 Sons

Last weekend I was at my home away from home, Memories Manor, for a scrap retreat where I made this layout.
In making it I have discovered 3 new loves...yes 3!

The first is The Paper Bakery where I found the sketch. They are having a sketch challenge if you wish to check it out. The owner, Sarah, is the sweetest thing ever and I have purchased some flair badges from her recently....with a free shipping special no less!!! You will be seeing them in my future projects for sure!!

The second is the Heidi Swapp Color Shine mist. Love how fast it dries and the glitter it has and how I can get nice big drops on my page.

The third is the Maggie Holmes collection from Crate Paper. This is a must have and you will definitely be seeing more of this on my blog. You can find this collection at Scrapbook Memories and More. That's where I got it.

PP & Ephemera: Crate Paper

You can see from my layout that there is always much laughter! Love you Stephanie!!

I received this amazing WeR Memory Keepers "Winter Frost" collection from Scrapbook Memories and More. I have to tell you that it's definitely a new fav of mine! As you can see it does not have to be used just for winter projects.

I'm Featured

Have you seen the newest Studio News at Cord Scrapbook Studio? If you haven't make sure you check it out right here.
Why you ask? Well for one thing this layout that I'm sharing today is featured in it. Isn't that cool??
You also will want to see some other projects by my fellow DT members and all the current news of course!

PP: Studio Calico's Take Note collection
Stickers: Studio Calico, LYB
Mist: Mr. Huey
Stick Pin: LYB
Wood Veneer: Studio Calico
Ink: Colorbox, Tim Holtz
Enamel Accents: Ranger
Cameo
Copics
Machine Stitching

I'm starting to use my Cameo more for my titlework. Love it!

I used one of the adorable SC butterfly stickers to dress up a stick pin. Aren't they sweet?

I really want to get some more of these wood veneer shapes from SC. The birds added such a nice touch. I could have left them in their natural state but I chose to colour them with my Copics.
