Sparkle and Shine Challenge #29

Morning everyone!!

Last weekend I was at my home away from home....Memories Manor in Michigan so I had some extra time to create a layout for the latest challenge at Sparkle and Shine Challenge..

For this challenge we are sponsored by the amazing Create A Smile Stamps! The winner of our challenge will receive a $25 gift card to the online store and will be asked to be our Guest Designer for next month.  Very cool...right?

Here is our photo inspiration for today.

I was inspired by the beautiful flowers so made sure that flowers made an appearance onto my layout. Not a problem at all...lol!
The Happy Place collection by Fancy Pants was perfect for this challenge.

For Christmas my youngest son bought my Mom a huge bag of Smarties and I captured this photo of her hanging onto them so nobody else could grab them!! Too funny!

Cardstock: AC

Alphas: AC, 7 Paper

Hello everyone! It's time for another challenge at Sparkle and Shine.  The photo inspiration today is this cute Easter themed wreath.

We are sponsored this challenge by the Right at Home store.

I was inspired by the wreath and the burlap and went with the Easter theme. I love the texture that the burlap adds and it was fun piecing the wreath together!

We are sponsored this week by Create a Smile.

For my card I had my first real attempt at water colouring. So don't be too critical....lol!! I know that I need a lot more  practice and better painting supplies. I was inspired by the green and the gold in the inspiration photo.

Cardstock: Ranger, SU

Paint: kit from Michaels
Mist: Heidi Swapp
Sequins: PPP (metallic gold)
Ink: Versamark
Embossing powder: Stampendous

Debate Team Card Kit

Happy Friday everyone! I would like to share some more cards that I created with the May Debate Team Card kit.

I die cut out the word “happy” and a flourish element from black cardstock and then used the negative piece as my focal point for my card. Behind it I placed the dictionary type paper that is in the kit so it peeks out from the die cuts. I embellished with a few sequins from the store and my card was done.

My next card was all about the patterned paper in the kit that looks like cork. I first made a background layer using the brown cardstock and a muted piece of paper from the kit and stitched around it with my sewing machine WITHOUT using any thread just to poke holes all around the edge. Next I took a butterfly punch and made 9 butterflies out of that fabulous “cork” paper and placed them in 3 rows on the card and put a pearl in the center of each.

My “Hello” sentiment is made using the Jillibean alphas in the kit.

In the kit is this map type paper and I matted it with the striped paper which made me think of air mail envelopes. Do they even still exist? Maybe I am dating myself….lol!

I used the following items from the store to embellish  my card. Blue sequins, Flair.

I hope you will pop over to the Paper Bakery store and pick up a card kit for yourself!

Summer Time

It's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday. You all did a fabulous job with the last one.

You can choose an "Anything Goes" birthday card....

or you can choose to add in the "toppings" option.

The toppings option for this challenge  is "Summer Time".

I did use the toppings but after I finished my card I thought it maybe looked more like Fall. Oh well the flowers made me think of summer......lol!!

PP: MME
Ink: SU
Sequins: Paper Bakery, unk
Stamp: Wplus9
