We would love to see YOU play along with us using the sketch challenge.    You have until March 15th at midnight to link your layout/card/project up on the right hand side of the blog.

1.) We will have a new Sketch Challenge every two weeks. Play along for your chance to win a $10 coupon to the Paper Bakery Shop.
2.) Make a layout or project inspired by the sketch. Be creative and have fun! We would love to see what you create using a Paper Bakery kit; however, using a kit is not required for you to play along.
3.) Take a picture and link it up on the sidebar of the Paper Bakery blog using the INLINKZ widget by the due date.
4.) Winners will be randomly selected, and we will post them on the Paper Bakery Facebook page and on the Paper Bakery blog.

Here is my layout using the sketch. Everything that I used on my page came from Paper Bakery kits.

Seize the Birthday

It's time for a new challenge at Seize The Birthday. There is no "Topping" this week so we would love to see any birthday card that you create.

Yes that is right....it means.....anything goes!!
Here is my card.

I used the January card kit from Paper Bakery. It is still available in the store and I have to tell you that I love it so head over and check it out!

I stamped the background with a Hero Arts background stamp and clear embossed it. Love the extra texture.

More Love Potion

More of the Love Potion #9 Card Kit that is from Paper Bakery. You've already seen 2 cards that I made with this kit and here are 3 more.

This first card uses one of the free cut files "xoxo" that you get when you order the kit as a member. I love that floral paper from the Pebbles paper pad.
I added some of these resin hearts from the store and ended up with a sweet Valentine card.

Here is a little closeup of the cut file.

On this next card I used another one of the cut files....the heart....and made it the focal point.
Some enamel dots, flair from the kit and some heart sequins that I believe came in a previous kit and a bit of machine stitching and I had another Valentine Card.

This last card shows that you can use the kit for more than a lovey dovey card. I used some of the more masculine papers from the paper pad and some of the awesome Crate stickers and I now have a card ready for my Dad's birthday!

I highly recommend getting this kit before they are sold out!!

Hearts and Birthdays

There is a new challenge up at Seize the Birthday.

The "toppings" for this challenge is "hearts".

Of course if you don't feel like using the toppings  an "anything goes" birthday card is perfectly fine!

I knew that I had this awesome gold foil heart paper so that is how my card started.

Other than the SU cardstock everything else is from the Teresa Collins "You Are My Happy" collection.

I sure hope that you will join us for this challenge at Seize The Birthday!

Our "toppings' option this month is "COLOURING".

Santa's List

First I have to apologize for the quiet blog. Of course there was the hectic time before Christmas with all the shopping and baking etc. but then on Christmas morning my sweet Mother had a stroke.

Of course life was turned upside down!! She is doing fine physically but she is having a difficult time finding her words so she is very frustrated. She can't seem to do simple functions involving numbers and letters so cooking and microwaving meals are not an option.

We are settling into some sort of a routine and hopefully we can get her the rehab she needs.
Anyhoo.......

I was given some of the wonderful Teresa Collins "Santa's List" to play with from the store Scrapbook Memories and More.

Here is a card that I made.

Cardstock: Neenah
Everything else from SMM

I will be entering my card at:

Inspired Blueprints

I used another sketch to help me get my calendar gift done and this time I used Sketch #112 at Inspired Blueprints.

A photo of me....oh dear... I hardly ever scrap photos of me but it's for my parents so it has to be done right?

I used the Teresa Collins collection again. More fun gold paper and I always love using enamel dots.
I cut my title with my Cameo and see the stamping with black and gold ink? It's a stamp that I got in my monthly kit from The Paper Bakery. LOVE IT!!!

A very simple layout but perfect for the calendar.

My Creative Sketch

Did you have a chance to play along with the November Sketch at My Creative Sketches? I did.

I'm still working on my parents calendar for Christmas and I used this sketch to make one of the layouts and it uses a photo of my daughter Amy.

I used the "You Are My Happy" collection from Teresa Collins. Love it!! How sweet is that gold heart paper?
I added some wood veneer, gold glitter paper and black sequins. Love using a sketch to get the creative juices flowing.

A close-up for you of the wood veneer and glitter.

Back To School

I am too late to link up to this sketch but I like it so much that I had to use it anyway! I also came across this colour challenge so I merged them together and created a layout using this photo of Ryan and Evan on the first day back to school this September.

Here is the colour palette that I chose from Megan's Pinterest board. I loved the shades of green and blue  and a bit of yellow.

Here is my layout. I think it turned out pretty cute!

I also used some of my older supplies and used my Cameo. Yay me!!

Me and You

I played along with a new challenge called "Scrappy Friends Challenges". Very cool because basically you could join in on 1, 2 or all 3 challenges.
Well I combined all 3 to create my layout because I enjoyed REALLY giving myself a triple challenge..lol!

So first I will share my layout of Ryan helping me blow out my birthday candle.

Everything is from the Teresa Collins "stationery noted" collection except:
Wood Veneer: Fancy Pants, Studio Calico
Mist: Heidi Swapp
Rhinestones: Recollections
Doily

So the first challenge was to use this sketch by Brenda.
The second challenge was by Kristi to use dots and chevrons. My dots are actually on my chevrons....lol!
The third challenge by Rochelle was to create a layout about your family or someone in your family.

Check, double check and triple check! Yay!!

I am also submitting my layout to the november craft challenge at Two Scrapbook Friends which is to use a doily.

Grateful for Great Friends

I've had this MME Collectable collection in my stash for a bit and finally got around to making a page with it.

I used a photo of Ryan getting his birthday gift from his good friends. It came together so nicely using the Nov. 1st sketch from Stuck Sketches.

I added some Heidi Swapp glimmer mist and a Elle's studio stamp.

Paper Bakery Sketch #16

I was able to get a layout done for the latest sketch at The Paper Bakery. Not only did I use the sketch but I also used the September kit to create my layout of Ryan and Evan playing hockey.

So love the stars with sequins on them and of course the Flair!!

Happy Birthday

Yes it is the birthday of someone that we all know and admire. Tracey McNeely!!!!

I've been very blessed to get to know Tracey through our mutual love of paper crafting. We were on a DT together many moons ago and just re-connected about 6 months or so ago while on the DT for Dynamic Duos.

When Joyce asked me if I would like to participate in a birthday celebration for Tracey I immediately answered.....YES!!!

Tracey is one of the nicest women that I have had the pleasure of meeting. Not in person (wish that could happen some day) but on line as we shared and created together.
Tracey is kind, dedicated, compassionate, so giving of herself and always there with compliments and praise to others and Tracey is one AWESOME TALENTED CRAFTER!!!!!

Her creations always inspire me. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing her gorgeous cards please go check out her blog right now!!

So Tracey my friend I wish you a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY and I card I made. (inspired by Kristina Werner)

Head over to Joyce's blog to see who else is joining in to wish Tracey a Happy Birthday.

Scrapbook Memories and More

I shared my layout awhile ago but hadn't posted my card and tag that I created with some Graphic 45 goodies from Scrapbook Memories and More where I am on the DT.

And here is my layout too in case you missed it the first time around.

You can find the tutorials on how to make all of these projects on the SMM blog right here. Just scroll down a bit in the blog post.
