This month has been so busy so far and I wanted to participate in the Paper Bakery sketch challenge but just couldn't seem time to create a layout so I thought...why not a card? So that's what I did!!

Dynamic Duos #61

Hey there! It's time for a new colour duo at Dynamic Duos. This week we are using some subtle colours and they are Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand.

I thought these colours would be perfect for a sweet baby girl card.

Happy Saturday everyone! It's time for a new duo from Dynamic Duos.  This week the duo is Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green.

 

I really love how my card turned out this week! I pulled out some older patterned paper and new stamps to me and put my Cameo to work also.  I am very happy with the outcome!

Retro sketches & Paper Players

What's a girl to do on a cloudy day? Play along with some challenges of course!!!

I used the sketch at Retro Sketches and also played along for the first time at The Paper Players where they had a tic tac toe challenge. I used embossing, bling & birthday.
I stamped my flower image with Versamark and set it with black embossing powder.

Santini Market

This past March my husband and I spent the month in Fort Myers Beach Florida and right across the street from our condo their was a market. Every morning I walked over and got fresh fruits and veggies. The grapefruits were so sweet and juicy!!

To make my layout I used the Park Drive collection by Webster's Pages which I got from Scrapbook Memories and More.

Webster's Pages Card

I just realized that I hadn't shared the card that I made my Mother for Mother's Day. All the supplies are from Scrapbook Memories and More using the Park Drive collection by Webster's Pages.

 

Here are the instructions on how to make it.

 

1. Make an A2 card from Kraft cardstock.

2. Add a mat from "Margaret".

3. Add a smaller mat from the B side of "Margaret".

4. Coat the chipboard bird and cage with gesso and let dry.

5. Add cage to card and the add the bird after coloring with Copics.

6. Add a pink bow to the top of the cage.

7. Add 3 large flowers and 3 small flowers.

8. Tuck in some leaves cut out of the papers.

I find that I always can use birthday cards in my stash that's why I played along with the latest sketch at Seize the Birthday. Make sure you check it out....it's a goodie!

To create my card I also used the Be Inspired challenge at The Alley Way Stamps blog. I took my colour cue from there and inked up a cute birdie from their Bird Brain set.

The Fish House Restaurant

While we were away in Florida this past March our youngest son Cameron came down and spent the last week with us.
We definitely had to take him out for some fresh seafood so we headed to the marina across the street from our condo and had an awesome meal at The Fish House Restaurant.

The Paper Bakery has a sketch this month that was perfect to use with a photo of Cameron at the restaurant.

Happy Saturday everyone!

This week is Mix and Match week at Dynamic Duos. We choose one colour and then you add whatever colour you wish to it to create your own duo.

The pre picked colour is Basic Gray and to it I added Teal. I think it makes a wonderful combo for a wedding card!

Dynamic Duos #58

If any of you that are reading my blog are from Alberta my thoughts and prayers are with you. My oldest son is living in Canmore and I am relieved to know that he is okay and his home is safe.

This week the colours for the Dynamic Duos challenge are Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze. Nice right?

 

My parents are celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary this week and my card is for them. 64 years.....wow...they are truly blessed!!

Birthday card

I have a quick and easy card to share with you that I made with product from Scrapbook Memories and More.

 

I used some pretty patterned paper from Prima and some red and yellow cardstock.

Add a nice sentiment and a glittered butterfly, ribbon and a flower and there you have it!

Hi everyone! I hope you are a having a fabulous Saturday. It's time for this weeks Dynamic Duos colours.  It's Black Tie this week with a Dessert option which is.....Plant theme.

 

I used an older SU stamp for my focal point which has......plants on it....of course...hee hee! The gorgeous sentiment stamp is from Wplus9 and it is stamped on vellum for a softer look.

I found that cute little flower stamp in my stash but I didn't have the ink colour that I wanted so I tried something I've never done before. I pulled out my copics and found a matching colour and inked my stamp up with the marker.

I like the sort of water colour effect it gave.

Breakfast Pizza

I received some product from Scrapbook Memories and More to play with and here is my first project. Make sure you go and check out the store. So proud to say they are Canadian. I wish I lived close enough to visit their brick and mortar store. Maybe my friends in Alberta could go and tell them I said "Hi"!

Eventually there will be a tutorial on how to re-create it for yourself and I will let you know when it is up on their blog.

Oh boy I am sitting here yawning away as I post this. Up early for work and had a busy day there and then...... I went to a new fitness class and I tell ya she worked me HARD!!!! Of course I have been quite the slug in the exercise world for the past while so it's no wonder that I am feeling it tonight!
