Let's Ride
I had some time to play in my scraproom this weekend and I created just for the fun of it.
I had some supplies left from kits from Cord Scrapbook Studio and also Tickle Trunk Memories so I threw them together and made this layout.
LYB Saturday Collection: Cardstock & Chipboard stickers, pp, brads, stick pin, journal card
Stamp: myStampBOX (Colorful Companions)
Washi tape: Bazzill Basics
Punch: Fiskars
Pearls: Kaiser
Ink: Tim Holtz
Alpha stickers: Doodlebug
Floss: DMC
I pulled out an old photo from 1982 of Amy and Jonathan. Sometimes I wish they were still that little.
Here is a little closeup. I'm so glad that I used that washi tape as a border. I think that pop of red is perfect!
Oh I almost forgot to mention that I used the April Sketch from Canadian Scrapbooker to help me put this together so quickly. :)

5 Things I Love...
I created this page of my little grandnephew Evan. There were 5 little envelopes that I used to document 5 things that I love about Evan.

Here is a closeup of how I decorated the outside of some of the envelopes.
I'm happy with the little twine bow that I added to the butterfly. Cute..right?
Inside each envelope is a little tag that I used to journal on.
If you want a step by step on how to re-create my layout you can find the tutorial right here.
If you want to check out the kit you can look right here. If you wish to buy one you had better hurry up because I don't think that there are many left.
I'll be back with more projects using this collection soon.

Earth Day at myStampBOX

I made a card using one of my new favourite stamp sets called Warm Tweets. I love those little birds. I wanted to make sure that I used something from Nature for an Earth Day inspired project.
I made those swirls on the background of my card by using the butterfly flight path "tails" from the Funky Flowers stamp set. I stamped and embossed them and then coloured over them with distress inks.
To also include a bit of recycling for Earth Day I used some corrugated cardboard as my card base. I actually used some of the box that my new myStampBOX stamps came in! Heehee!

Stamps: myStampBOX (Warm Tweets, Funky Flowers)
Cardstock: SU, Neenah
Ink: Tim Holtz, Memento
Pearls: Recollections
Enamel accents: Ranger
Misc: Versamark, Copics, embossing powder, Nestabilities, cardboard box
Here is a bit of a closeup. This is the first time that I used Enamel accents for the eyes and I really like the effect.

Make sure that you pop over to the myStampBOX blog to see all the other wonderful Earth Day creations from the rest of the design team.

Gift Bag using stamps
I of course used some fabulous myStampBOX stamps and some of the awesome Dear Lizzy Neapolitan papers that I got from Cord Scrapbook Studio.

Stamps: mSB (Small Greetings, Royal Flush, Mini Pennants)
Ink: Memento, Tim Holtz
Scissors: Fiskars
Punch: SU
Twine: Jillibean
PP: Dear Lizzy Neapolitan (Heart Song, First Date, Lucky Laugh)
Stickles
Here is a closeup of the mini pennants that I stamped directly onto the paper and then cut out.

I cut some of the cones out of the paper and then popped them up with some pop dots. I had to glitter them up a bit too. :)

Here is a closeup of the piercing that I did around the edges to give some added dimension.

Next up is a layout using a photo of my sister's 2 stepdaughters Melanie and Katie. I had to use the pinks in this collection for a more girly page. :)
The pinwheels are so fun to use and I am a sucker for any music note paper so I was thrilled that this collection included some.

Here is what I made using products from Faber-Castell and myStamp BOX:
For my first card I used the Funky Flowers collection and stamped directly onto a piece of canvas from Canvas Corp using a black Big Brush Marker and then proceeded to colour in my images using different colours of Big Brush markers.
I was so amazed at how vibrant the colours came out on the canvas!

Stamps: myStampBOX
Markers: Faber Castell
Cardstock: SU
PP: Bo Bunny
Canvas: Canvas Corp
Ink: Tim Holtz
Misc: brads, ribbon
Here is a closeup.

On my next card I played with the Metallic Gelatos. It's like playing with a tube of lipstick!! How fun.
I clear embossed the star image from the Back to the Basics set and then coloured all over the top with the gold gelato. I used a baby wipe to clean off the embossed areas and presto.....I had a fabulous background for my card.
For my sentiment I used the Small Greetings set...a must have in my books...and white embossed onto a piece of chalkboard paper from Canvas Corp.

Stamps: myStampBOX
Gelato: Faber Castell
Cardstock: SU, Neenah
Ribbon: LYB
Misc: Versamark, button, embossing powder, floss, Uniball Signo pen
On my last card I stamped this cute image from Warm Tweets. I'm loving this adorable set!
I coloured it in using the Big Brush Markers.
The sentiment from the same collection was stamped using the Black Big Brush Marker.

Stamps: myStampBOX
Markers: Faber Castell
Cardstock: A.C., Prism
PP: MME
Ink: Tim Holtz
Misc: ribbon, Stickles
Here is a closeup.

Happy Valentines Day!
Since I don’t have any little ones at home any more I like to give my grandnephews a little something on Valentine’s Day.
I’m going to give them these little treat bags filled with candy hearts and to decorate the bags I made the treat bag toppers which will double as a card.

Cardstock: A.C.
Stamps: myStampBOX
Twine: Doodlebug
Ink: Memento, Jenni Bowlin
Pearls: Recollections
Stickers: Glitz
Misc: Stickles, Copics, Cameo
On both the toppers I used little heart from the Symbols stamps set to create my background.
Each topper has a robot (which I know the little boys will love) from the Programmed Robots set which I stamped, coloured with Copics, cut out and popped onto the topper.

For Evan’s treat bag I used the sentiment from Programmed Robots to stamp onto an extra heart.

For the sentiment on Ryan’s bag I used a stamp from the Straightforward set and stamped it on a banner.
I think they turned out adorable!!
Have a great Valentine’s everyone!!

Top 5!!!
The competition is getting very tough and it won't be easy to make it into the top 3 but I'm hoping with your help once again that I might be able to achieve it. So if could follow this link and vote for me again I would really appreciate it. You guys are the best!!
The criteria for this round was: Use only one picture
It should have a "love" theme
Red should be the dominant color
Use five hearts
I used a photo of my grand nephew Evan. How could you not love that face!!
I had lots of fun making those accordion rosettes from the patterned paper.

Cardstock: A.C.
PP: Cosmo Cricket
Stamps: Sassafras
Stickers: Glitz
Letters: Girls Paperie
Scissors: Fiskars
Unk: Brads, ribbon, buttons
Machine stitching, Versamark, Embossing powder
