Let's Ride

What a beautiful day it was here in Ontario!
I had some time to play in my scraproom this weekend and I created just for the fun of it.
I had some supplies left from kits from Cord Scrapbook Studio and also Tickle Trunk Memories so I threw them together and made this layout.

LYB Saturday Collection: Cardstock & Chipboard stickers, pp, brads, stick pin, journal card
Stamp: myStampBOX (Colorful Companions)
Washi tape: Bazzill Basics
Punch: Fiskars
Pearls: Kaiser
Ink: Tim Holtz
Alpha stickers: Doodlebug
Floss: DMC

I pulled out an old photo from 1982 of Amy and Jonathan. Sometimes I wish they were still that little.
Here is a little closeup. I'm so glad that I used that washi tape as a border. I think that pop of red is perfect!

Oh I almost forgot to mention that I used the April Sketch from Canadian Scrapbooker to help me put this together so quickly. :)

5 Things I Love...

Tickle Trunk Memories April kit was just so fun to create with! It is full of yummy goodies from the Saturday collection by Little Yellow Bicycle. Love it, love it, love it!

I created this page of my little grandnephew Evan. There were 5 little envelopes that I used to document 5 things that I love about Evan.

Here is a closeup of how I decorated the outside of some of the envelopes.
I'm happy with the little twine bow that I added to the butterfly. Cute..right?

Inside each envelope is a little tag that I used to journal on.

If you want a step by step on how to re-create my layout you can find the tutorial right here.

If you want to check out the kit you can look right here. If you wish to buy one you had better hurry up because I don't think that there are many left.

I'll be back with more projects using this collection soon.

Earth Day at myStampBOX

Today the design team over at myStampBOX are celebrating Earth Day!

I made a card using one of my new favourite stamp sets called Warm Tweets. I love those little birds. I wanted to make sure that I used something from Nature for an Earth Day inspired project.

I made those swirls on the background of my card by using the butterfly flight path "tails" from the Funky Flowers stamp set. I stamped and embossed them and then coloured over them with distress inks.

To also include a bit of recycling for Earth Day I used some corrugated cardboard as my card base. I actually used some of the box that my new myStampBOX stamps came in! Heehee!

Stamps: myStampBOX (Warm Tweets, Funky Flowers)
Cardstock: SU, Neenah
Ink: Tim Holtz, Memento
Pearls: Recollections
Enamel accents: Ranger
Misc: Versamark, Copics, embossing powder, Nestabilities, cardboard box

Here is a bit of a closeup. This is the first time that I used Enamel accents for the eyes and I really like the effect.

Make sure that you pop over to the myStampBOX blog to see all the other wonderful Earth Day creations from the rest of the design team.

Gift Bag using stamps

I have a project on the myStampBOX blog today. I altered a gift bag that I had in my stash. I can use it to put in a few little goodies for Evan, my grandnephew, on his birthday.

I of course used some fabulous myStampBOX stamps and some of the awesome Dear Lizzy Neapolitan papers that I got from Cord Scrapbook Studio.

Stamps: mSB (Small Greetings, Royal Flush, Mini Pennants)
Ink: Memento, Tim Holtz
Scissors: Fiskars
Punch: SU
Twine: Jillibean
PP: Dear Lizzy Neapolitan (Heart Song, First Date, Lucky Laugh)
Stickles

Here is a closeup of the mini pennants that I stamped directly onto the paper and then cut out.

I cut some of the cones out of the paper and then popped them up with some pop dots. I had to glitter them up a bit too. :)

Cord Scrapbook Studio

Good morning everyone! Happy April...where is the time going?

Today I wanted to share with you the projects I made in March for Cord Scrapbook Studio.
I was given the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection from American Crafts. What a fun sweet collection!

First up I have a card that can be used for any occasion. I love those Fair Ribbons! That pleated paper has become a quick favourite of mine.

Neapolitan Paper: First Date

My first layout is about one of the breakfasts at the scrap retreat that I go to at least a couple of times a year, Memories Manor.

The colours in the photo went perfectly with the collection.

Next up is a layout using a photo of my sister's 2 stepdaughters Melanie and Katie. I had to use the pinks in this collection for a more girly page. :)

The pinwheels are so fun to use and I am a sucker for any music note paper so I was thrilled that this collection included some.
