Happy World Card Making Day!

Since it is almost Thanksgiving here in Canada I made a few cards to celebrate this holiday and I will send them to some family members.

For the background on this card I "smooshed" (that's a word right?) watercolour paper into distress inks that were misted with water on my craft mat.

Cardstock: S.U.
PP: B.G.
Stamps: myStampBOX (Straightforward)
Ink: Tim Holtz, Colorbox
Nestabilities: Spellbinder
Misc: Button, raffia, ribbon, aida cloth

On this card I stamped the sentiment multiple times with versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder. I then went over it all with green distress ink there by creating my background. This is called an "emboss resist" technique.

Cardstock: S.U.
PP: C.M.
Stamps: myStampBOX (Straightforward)
Ink: Tim Holtz
Ribbon: Doodlebug
Misc: Button, raffia, Versamark, Embossing powder

On this card I again stamped an image multiple times on watercolour paper with Versamark and embossed in white. This time I used the emboss resist technique with Distress Stain. I really want to get more of these!!

Cardstock: S.U.
PP: B.G.
Stamps: myStampBOX (Straightforward & All Year Round)
Ink: Tim Holtz, Colorbox
Ribbon: Doodlebug
Distress Stain: Tim Holtz
Misc: Button, raffia, aida cloth, Versamark, embossing powder, machine stitching

Make sure you leave a comment so you will be eligible for a little RAK from me.

Oh I bet you want to know what my secret word is.......it's........."making".

Now hop along to Karen's blog to be totally inspired and don't forget to figure out the sentence and email it in.

Happy World Card Making Day everyone! I hope you get some time to make some cards of your own.
