This Girl

I had a lot of fun making this layout using my October kit from Scrap-Tastic and a sketch from Creative Scrappers.

PP: MME, Prima
Transparency: Hambly
Chipboard: PP
Ribbon: Prima
Flowers: Prima
Brad: Chatterbox
Ink: Tim Holtz
Punch: EK Success
Mist: Tattered Angels
Smooch: Clearsnap
Crackle Medium: Helmar

I used Helmars crackle medium for the first time on the dress form and it was so easy and I love how it turned out.

I used the full sheet of the transparency over top of my striped patterned paper. That's what gives my layout the gold swirls. I've always tended to shy away from transparencies but I think I am now a convert. :)

That's a photo of my daughter by the way and I do love her SO MUCH!!

October Scrap-Tastic

I had fun colouring my Spiders Lair paper that's in my Scrap-Tastic kit so I thought I would do it again on the second piece that I had and use some more Halloween pictures of Ryan and Evan.

To help pull my layout together quickly I used sketch #173 from Creative Scrappers.

PP: Pink Paislee, Prima
Stickers: Heidi Swapp
Brad: MM
Misc: stickles, Copics
Felt: unk

Too Cute to Spook

I'm going to start showing you projects from the October Scrap-Tastic kit. Such a nice mix of goodies in this kit.

For this layout I used this cool spider web paper so I of course pulled out a Halloween photo of my grandnephews and I used the latest sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. It maybe didn't end up looking like the sketch but it was my inspiration and I love that about sketches that everyone's take will be a bit different.

PP,Stickers, Chipboard: Pink Paislee
Trim: Prima
Rhinestone: Kaiser
Chalk: Colorbox
Misc: Copics, DMC floss, Spica glitter pen

I coloured some of the paper with my Copics to add some colour and I loved altering those corrugated pieces like the bird here.

I gave the spider and all the flies a little glitter.

Amy's Day

Lately I’ve been been digging VERY FAR back into my photo collection and pulling out pictures of my children of when they were little.

You see I didn’t start scrapbooking until they were all grown up so I have a lot of catching up to do.

I found a photo of my daughter when she was having her 5th birthday so I promptly pulled out some stamps from myStampBOX and awesome Echo Park paper and a fabulous sketch from Sketchabilities and got busy creating.

Stamps: myStampBOX
Cardstock: Bazzill
PP & Stickers: Echo Park
Twine: Jillibean
Ink: Stazon, Memento
Rhinestones: Recollections
Punch: SU, Fiskars
Misc: Button

To add some detail to a diecut tag I inked up a stamp from the Mention It set. It has so many great sentiments and they are not just for cards.

For my title I used the Friday Night Stencil alphabet set. I stamped onto patterned paper, circle punched the letters out and put them on my layout with pop dots.

I hope that you will pull out your stamps and some photos that you have been meaning to scrapbook and get scrapping!

Scrapbook Star Sept. kit

I was excited to work with the Hopscotch collection from Basic Grey in Scrapbook Stars Sept. kit. I already shared one layout here and 2 cards here and another card here and now I would like to show you my other 2 layouts.

It was nice to get an old photo from 1987 scrapped. On that particular Mother's Day my whole family joined me out on the golf course. The kids loved to ride on the golf cart. :) Who knew then that both my sons would become golf professionals!!

I used a sketch from My Creative Sketches and my page came together so nicely. Love that little ticket stamp in the kit.

PP: B.G.
Stickers: A.C., Karen Foster
Mist: Tattered Angels
Ink: Tim Holtz, Memento
Punch: M.S., Fiskars
Stamp: Imaginisce
Grungeboard: Tim Holtz

Flowers: Prima
Misc: Nestabilities, machine stitching

Yay I got another old photo scrapped......and yes I am that far behind!!! LOL!! Aren't my little ones just the cutest?

PP: B.G.
Ribbon: May Arts
Mist: Tattered Angels
Ink: Tim Holtz
Stickers: Karen Foster
Tiles: Mark Richards
Misc: Uniball signo pen, Nestabilities, Fiskars scissors

I've wanted to use pinwheels on a layout for awhile now and this seemed like the perfect time.
Here are a couple views.
My monthly challenge at Scrapbook Star is to use a pinwheel on a project so come and play along right here.

I still have product left to create some more! Isn't that amazing? You are going to want this kit!!!

Prep School

I already shared one of my layouts using the September kit "Prep School" from Scrap-Tastic so now I wanted to show you the rest of my projects.

The first layout uses a photo of my Dad and his 2 brothers and one sister. It's not the best photo but there aren't too many photos of them together so I had to get this one on a page.

PP: C.I.
Ink: Tim Holtz, Memento
Sticker: A.C.
Flowers: Prima
FlipNote: Pink Paislee

I put some Glossy Accents on my letters to give them a nice shine.

I glittered up my flowers.

For my next project I took an inexpensive journal and altered it so I would have a personalized notebook.

PP: Pink Paislee
Punch: EK Success
Stamps: myStampBOX
Ink: Jenni Bowlin, Tim Holtz
Flowers: Prima
Misc: Nestabilities

I caught my kids being goofy on camera so I just had to scrap it! LOL!

Cardstock: Prism
PP: Pink Paislee
Rubon: Pink Paislee
Buttons: UNK
Punch: EK Success, M.S.
FlipNote: Pink Paislee
Ink: Tim Holtz
Stickers: A.C.
Misc: Nestabilities

Live your Life

Sketch #54 at Sketchabilities really caught my eye. I think it was the circles...I really do like using them on my layouts.

The September kit from Scrapbook Star was on my desk so that's what I used to create my page. Now don't tell anyone because the kit doesn't go live til the 15th but the sketch is due today so I just had to post this. I just HAD to!!! LOL!! It's our secret okay??

I used an old photo of my 3 kids at Grandma's and Grandpa's old house in Vineland. Check out those spandex bicycle shorts on Cameron!! Too funny!!

Cardstock: Bazzill
PP: B.G.
Ink: Tim Holtz
Stamp: Imaginisce
Flower: Prima
Grungeboard: Tim Holtz
Stickers: A.C., Karen Foster
Alcohol Ink: Ranger
Embossing folder: Provocraft
Tiles: Mark Tichards
Kiss Seal: M.M.

The kiss seals were originally silver but I made them a teal colour with alcohol inks.

I loved playing with the grungeboard pieces. I embossed them with my Swiss dots folder and then inked them up with my Distress ink.

Now don't forget to head over to Scrapbook Star to see the whole kit on the 15th but you really should head over to the online store right now because there is a 50% off sale going on right now.
Run I tell ya...run!!!

Feel Better

Morning everyone. I've managed to build up a good amount of Copic Markers but really haven't taken the time to play with them so I figured that now that summer seems to be over and I'm not hanging out by the pool it's time to start practicing and learning how to use them properly.

So please excuse my beginner Copic work but I actually am quite pleased with how my image turned out even though I know I can improve by leaps and bounds yet.

I used an image from My Favourite Things and my September kit from Scrapbook Star to make my Get Well card.

Urban Lily and Sketchy Thursdays

My sister in law gave my daughter and her husband Snuggy sacks for Christmas as a bit of a joke and we all could not stop laughing when they decided to model them!

It was so quick and easy to put a layout together using Urban Lily products since they do all the work for you and of course using a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays made it even quicker.

Cardstock: Bazzill
PP, ATC card, Chipboard: Urban Lily
Embossing folder: Provocraft
Pearls & Crystals: Prima
Rhinestones: Kaiser

I just added some fussy cut elements and some pearls and rhinestones to give my layout that extra little something.
