Dynamic Duos #72

I can't believe it's Saturday already but it is and that means that it's time for the next Dynamic Duo!

This week we have Primrose Petals and Blushing Bride for you.
Yes it is Monochromatic week.

Dynamic Duos #71

This week at Dynamic Duos we have Basic Black paired with Crumb Cake. We also have a dessert option....and who doesn't love dessert....of adding wet embossing to your project!

I have really wanted to try out the trendy Chalkboard technique since this seems to be so hot right now and when I saw that part of the Duo was black.....well....this was the perfect opportunity to give it a go.
This also allowed me to use the dessert option. I love dessert...lol!

Cardstock: SU
Rhinestones: Recollections
Ribbon: MME
Ink: Colorbox
Stamps: Wplus9
Pen: Uniball
Other: embossing powder, chalk, Versamark

I took a piece of chalk and rubbed it over the black cardstock and wiped the excess off with a paper towel.
I stamped my images with Versamark and embossed with white powder.....there's my dessert!
Then I re-stamped with white ink just off setting the image.
With my Uniball signo pen I drew a border around the edges.
Voila!!! There is my chalkboard technique!
I also have a Christmas card done too. Woot woot!!

I am submitting my card in the Back to School challenge at Ribbon Carousel.

I was inspired by Julie Campbell's video:

Dynamic Duos #70

Oh My Goodness!!!! Just realized my post didn't go live on Saturday. Didn't take me too long to notice now did it...oh boy. Anyway here it is now.

The latest duo at Dynamic Duos is a yellow and soft green.

I think we all could use a few "Thinking of You" cards in our stash so that's what I decided to create with this soft and subtle duo this week.

Cardstock: SU, Wplus9
Die: Wplus9
Stamps: Wplus9
Ink: SU, Versafine
Embossing folder: Provocraft
Other: embossing powder, Versamark

I die cut the middle of my card out and then embossed the front. I stamped my flowers with Versamark and then clear embossed them.
The sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card so that it should through the die cut.
Here is a close-up. Love how the embossing adds shimmer to the flowers!

Happy Birthday

I don't know about you but I always seem to need cards for birthdays. I pulled out some stamps from WPlus9 and made a simple one layer card and I really like how it turned out!

I'm trying to link my card up to the Wplus9 Mood Board challenge but I'm having issues with it. I will edit my post if I can get it to work.

I am also entering my card at the latest challenge at Seize the Birthday.

School themed card

I think this card would be great to give to a school aged child or even to a teacher. Love all these products from Little Yellow Bicycle in fabulous primary colours!

Cardstock: SU
Punch: EK Success
Enamel Dots: MME
Unk: ribbon, button
Everything else: LYB

I am entering this in the Curtain Call challenge.
I used sketch #102 at Freshly Made Sketches to create my card.
I took the challenge at Twisted Tuesday.
I am also entering my card in the latest challenge at the Ribbon Carousel.

Thanks a Bunch

Well I finally found some time today to play along with the latest sketch at The Paper Bakery.

It was a sad week with my dear Aunt Kay passing away. The funeral service was a lovely celebration of her life though and she is in a better place for sure.

Anyhow.....there wasn't time for a layout but I made a fun card using the sketch.

Other than the cardstock (which is from SU) all my supplies are from the June Paper Bakery kit which...no surprise...is sold out.
