Happy Anniversary

8 years ago today my sweet daughter Amy married Mario and we couldn't have picked a better son-in-law ourselves.

It so hard to believe that 8 years have already passed by.

Here is the card that I made for the 2 of them.

From the LYB "Swoon" collection I used:
6x6 paper pack
Stick Pins
Paper flower kit
Clear Cuts
Chipboard shapes
Stamp: myStampBOX (Mention It)
Embossing powder:Recollections
Punch: EK, Recollections
Pearls: Recollections

Here is a peak at the inside.

Isn't that little musical note punch adorable? I found it in the $1.50 bin at Michaels.

All the Little Yellow Bicycle product comes from Cord Scrapbook Studio and the stamp sentiment is from myStampBOX.

I also used the Mojo Monday sketch #240 as my inspiration.

Happy Anniversary Amy and Mario! Love you both so much. :)

Cord and Authentique

Have I told you about my love for the Carefree collection by Authentique? Well if I haven't let me tell you now......I LOVE IT!!!

I received this collection from Cord Scrapbook Studio to play with and it is awesome!!! One of my favourite things about it is the colour......Tangerine Tango.....the Pantone 2012 colour of the year. Of course all of the papers are just so beautiful.

I've been wanting to get this photo of  a friend of mine, Joyce and her husband Peter scrapped and finally the perfect collection graced my scrap table.

 Supplies Used:
Carefree Paper: Easygoing, Jovial, Calm, Relaxed, Radiant
Carefree Element Stickers                                                                                                                            Pearls:B.G. & Recollections
Mister Huey's Mist                                                                                                                               Martha Stewart Punch
 American Crafts Cardstock

 Here are a few closeups.

It was fun being able to fussy cut out all the flowers and butterflies to use as my embellishments and adding a bit of misting with the Mr. Huey mists.

Are You Ready to Swoon?

Little Yellow Bicycle put together a gorgeous black and white collection called Swoon and I had the pleasure of getting some from Cord Scrapbook Studio.

It's perfect for photos from a prom, wedding, graduation or anything a bit more formal.

I have a dear girlfriend Sharon that got married for the first time just 7 years ago. She waited for her soul-mate Art. I'm so happy that she is so happy!!
When looking for photos to use with this collection I saw Sharon the bride smiling up at me so it just had to be scrapped!

Supplies Used:
Swoon Paper: Eternal Circles
Swoon Clear Cut Shapes
Swoon Journaling Cards
Swoon Paper Flower Kit
Swoon Stick Pins
Swoon Chipboard Shapes
Swoon 6x6 Deco Edge Cardstock
Swoon 6x6 Paper Pad
American Crafts Cardstock
Fiskars Punch
Making Memories Brads
Silhouette Cameo
Hand Stitching & Sewing Machine

Here is a closeup of some of the awesome flowers in the Paper flower kit. I made some of my own flowers using my Cameo, a flower punch and the black paper from the 6x6 pad.

I adore those little heart stick pins!!

Head over to this post and you will be "swooning" over the projects my fellow DT members created.

Tag - You're It!

Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms out there. Hope you have a wonderful day doing what you love most...or doing nothing at all. That would be a treat too!

I have a tag to share with you today that I made with the Saturdays collection from Little Yellow Bicycle that I received from Tickle Trunk Memories.

Everything except the ribbon is from this collection. I really love the Clear Cut pieces! I used the bicycle and the flowers on the top left corner.

Did you notice that there is a pocket on my tag? Here I will show you.

So on this tag in the pocket you can writhe your little note to the lucky receiver of the tag.

If you want step by step instructions on how to make the tag and also see some more tags from my fellow DT just click right here.

Thinking of You

I have some more projects using the Country Garden Collection from Bo Bunny that I received from Cord Scrapbook Studio.

I was able to make a couple of cards very quickly using the die cuts and stickers.

Cardstock: SU, Prism
PP: Bo Bunny
Diecut: Bo Bunny
Button: Bo Bunny
Twine: Jillibean
Stamp: MyStampBOX (straightforward)
Ink: Tim Holtz
Pearls: BG
Misc: Versamark, Cuttlebug, Embossing Powder

I used a myStampBOX  stamp to create my sentiment right on top of a diecut.

I did a little handstitching on the diecut that I used as the focal point of the next card. I think it turned out so soft and pretty. Those little Jillibean alpha stickers are perfect for card makers!!

Cardstock: SU
PP: Bo Bunny
Button: Bo Bunny
Die Cut: Bo Bunny
Stickers: Jillibean
Misc: Seam binding, DMC floss, Gelly roll pen, pop dots

Here is a close up of my handstitching and the shimmer that I added to the butterfly with the gelly roll pen.

This is How I Roll

One of my duties in April for Cord Scrapbook Studio was to find a sketch and create a layout with the Simple Stories Awesome collection using the sketch.

Here is what I came up with. This is my nephew Matthew and his motorcycle. I have to be honest and say that I'm so glad that my boys have never wanted to ride one. I'd be a nervous wreck! EEK!

Supplies Used:
Awesome Paper: 100% Boy, Totally Cool, Boys Rock, So Random                                               Awesome Paper Elements: Flash Cards, Journal Card Elements #2
Awesome Fundamental and Expressions Cardstock Stickers
Awesome Transparency Overlay (exclusive to Collection Kit)
    Ticket Stamp: Imaginisce
    Ink: Colorbox, Tim Holtz
    Twine: Jillibean Soup
    Punch: Fiskars
    Pearls: Recollections
    Sketch: Becky Fleck

Here are some closeups. The transparency was perfect to put over the photo and the ticket stamp was just the right thing to use to create all those handmade tickets!

Hop on over to Cord Scrapbook Studio to see what sketch I used.
